Recognizing the unique challenges single-parent households face, First Step offers a lifeline to those with no other means of support, ensuring they can overcome immediate crises and build a stable, fulfilling life for their families.
Emergency Funding for Immediate Needs.

Childcare

Funding to cover urgent child care costs, allowing mothers to continue working and providing for their families.

Critical Repairs

Assistance with critical home repairs or the purchase of necessary vehicles and equipment, ensuring families have safe and reliable resources.

Housing

Emergency rental assistance to prevent eviction, pay security deposits, and ensure families maintain stable housing.

Emergency Needs

Financial support for various unforeseen expenses that create emergencies for single-mother households.

Eligibility

To apply please ensure you meet the following eligibility criteria:

Currently employed
Have one or more children under 18 years currently living in your household
Are a single mother
Are facing a one-time financial crisis
